What this tool does
Log a single blood pressure or glucose reading for educational classification and unit conversion.
What inputs are required
- Systolic and diastolic (mmHg), optional pulse.
- Glucose value with mg/dL or mmol/L and optional context label.
How the result is calculated
- BP uses the same AHA-aligned category rules as the mobile BP screen.
- Glucose converts with 18.0182 mg/dL per mmol/L and flags >7 / >11 mmol/L from historical clinical-web display logic.
What the result means
- Category and flag labels are educational summaries of the numbers you entered.
- Context labels do not change glucose thresholds in this tool.
Important limitations
- Home devices vary; confirm concerning readings with a clinician.
- ADA diagnostic criteria are not applied here.
When professional guidance may be useful
- Seek urgent care for hypertensive crisis–range readings or severe symptoms.
